On the occasion of the grand opening of the 2025 Guangzhou College of Commerce International Cultural Festival, we sat down with an international Marketing faculty member for a deep-dive interview, sharing his firsthand observations and reflections.

問: 今年國際文化節有幸邀請您在開幕式上分享自己的觀點，您對此有何感想？最期待與大家分享什麼信息？

Q: It is a great honor to haveyouastherepresentativespeakerforthisyearsInternationalCultural Festival. How do youfeel about thisrole,andwhatmessageareyoumostexcitedto sharewith everyone?

答: 謝謝你的誇獎。能獲此殊榮，我深感榮幸。更何況，這一舞台恰恰坐落于廣州——這座傳統與現代交相輝映的城市，更令這份榮耀熠熠生輝。作為市場學的講師，我每天都在思考如何溝通、如何建立聯系，以及哪些故事能打動人心。因此，在我看來，文化節就是一次“全球分享會”——它讓我們共同的人類遺産得以被看見、被分享。

A:Thank you so much for your kind words. It is indeed a profound honor tobe entrusted with this role, especially here at our college in Guangzhou—a city that so beautifully embodies the meeting point of ancient tradition and dynamic modernity. As a marketing lecturer, I spend my days thinking about communication, connection, and the stories that resonate with people. So, to me, this festival is an expression of globalsharing—it's about sharing our shared human heritage.

問: 回顧去年的文化節，哪一刻或哪個展位最令您難忘？有沒有哪件事真正讓您感到驚喜？  

Q: Looking back to last year’sfestival,whatwasthe mostmemorablemomentor boothfor you?Wasthere somethingthat truly surprised or delighted you?

答:去年讓我特别開心的是，來自澳大利亞伍倫貢大學的約20名學生專程來訪。我也希望我們的學生将來能走出國門，參與海外的文化活動。

A:Atlast year's festival,I was quite delighted to see thecontingentofabout20studentswho visitedus from theUniversity of Wollongongin Australia.I alsohope that ourstudentscan participate in culturalactivities abroad.

問: 對今年的文化節，您最期待什麼？有沒有看到或聽說哪些新籌備、新活動讓您特别興奮？  

Q:What about this year’sfestival are you most lookingforwardto?Have you seenor heard about any new preparations or activitiesthat youfind particularly exciting?

答: 我有酒店管理的背景，這使我對餐飲業情有獨鐘；我相信文化節是展示“國際美食”的絕佳舞台。我親眼見證食物是如何把人們聚在一起的。因此我有一個小提議：把精選的國際美食與文藝表演結合起來，讓大家“一口吃遍全球”。

A:Hotel management background I have which hasinstilledinme a deep appreciation for the food andbeverageindustry, andIbelieve cultural festivalspresent aperfect opportunity toshowcase a diverse,internationalbuffet.I've seenhow foodbringspeople together.Ihave anidea to enhance our cultural festivals: acuratedinternationalbuffetcombined withculturalperformance that offers a true taste of global diversity.

問: 在您看來，本次文化節帶來的最重要的價值是什麼？

Q: In your view,what isthe most importantvaluebrought bythis cultural  festival?

答:文化最重要的價值，是把我們的學院從“單純求學的地方”變成“充滿活力的國際社區”。
